Meet Ruth Horton!
Ruth is the Director of Early Childhood & Special Education at JCDSRI. She works supporting teachers in developing their authentic teaching styles. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education and Special Education, as well as a Graduate Degree in Early Childhood Special Education, and is certified in Basic Sign Language. Before joining JCDSRI, Ruth served as an Early Childhood Educator in the Smithfield, RI school district and as a Special Education Educator with the Northern RI Collaborative.
Outside of school, Ruth is passionate about being a student of the natural world.
