The strength and excellence of the JCDSRI community lies in the involvement and enthusiasm of our faculty, students, parents, grandparents, and alumni. We have numerous opportunities for you to volunteer your talents, ideas and energy with the school. Some of the opportunities include:
- Annual Fund
- Volunteer-based, peer to peer initiative to raise participation and dollars for the JCDSRI Annual Fund. Parents, grandparents, former parents, and alumni are all vital parts of our Annual Campaign.
- Class Parent
- Assist with and coordinate class events and act as a liaison between the Parents Association and other parents in your child’s class.
- Class Representative (Alumni)
- Assist with and coordinate class events, solicit news from your fellow classmates, and act as a liaison between the Alumni Office and your classmates.
- PALS (Parent, Alumni, and Student Ambassadors)
- Contact prospective families about our school, be available to answer questions and help new families transition to our school community. Our parents, students, and alumni are the best resources in the community, letting people know about JCDSRI and all that it has to offer.
- Special Events
- If you have a special talent or expertise in a particular field that you’d be willing to share with our students, we want to hear about it! We often hold special events in which we feature careers, fields of study, or special art or music projects.
