After School Programming

JCDSRI Extended Day Programming

We are excited to offer extended day programming for our students in Nitzanim through Grade 1. Students are invited to join us until 5:15 p.m.* for a joyful afternoon of games, playing, reading and friendship. Families can register on a monthly basis and we also offer a drop-in option for those last minute child care needs.

*When Shabbat begins early in the winter, we close extended day 30 minutes prior to the start of Shabbat.

After Care Partnership with the Dwares JCC

We partner with the Jewish Alliance to provide After Care for our students from Kindergarten through 5th grade at the Dwares JCC until 6:00 p.m. Students going to After Care are dismissed at the end of the school day to a JCC counselor who escorts them to the JCC. After Care at the JCC is located in their J-Space. For more information and to register, click here.

After School Enrichment Activities at JCDSRI

Many of our teachers offer after school clubs during the school year for our students. After school clubs begin at the end of the school day and run until 4:15 p.m. or 4:30 p.m. depending on the grade. Past after school clubs have included comics club, jewelry making, fitness programs, dance, homework and study skills, tennis lessons, sports club, yoga, etc. New classes are offered throughout the year. Current offerings include but are not limited to: Art Club with Ms. Heather, Pokemon Club with Ms. Bour, Maker Space with Morah Tiferet, and Sports Club with Mrs. Sugerman.

Community Beit Midrash

JCDSRI alumni join together to continue their Jewish learning throughout the school year. They generally meet twice a week – on Wednesday evenings they learn with community Rabbis and teachers and on Shabbat afternoons they gather at the homes of different participants and learn with their parents. This program began in 2020 as a pilot and has continued to grow and strengthen due to the hard work of several parent volunteers who saw a need for increased learning opportunities for JCDSRI graduates and other middle school students in the area. Learn more here.
