We hope that the weekend and Shabbat allowed for some moments of peace and calm and that you were able to get out into the fresh air! We have been busy preparing fun, joyful, low-pressure activities for the week ahead and hope that you and your kids will smile and enjoy!
Two fun pieces to get our week started:
1) Check out this video from our very own JCDSRI parent, JCDSRI Board Vice President and baker extraordinaire, Shoshana Jacob. There are only 6 ingredients so it is perfect for an easy activity with your kids or for you to make and enjoy yourselves!! Click here to view the recipe.
2) We will be having SUPER SIMPLE SILLY SPIRIT DAYS this week! Tomorrow (Tuesday) is wacky sock day! Your child(ren) can wear silly socks, mismatched socks, matching socks (if they usually wear mismatched socks), no socks, socks made out of unconventional materials – whatever works! Take a picture of your wacky socks and post it on social media (remember to tag JCDSRI!) or send a photo to Shayna Fel.

We know that the world around us is full of unexpected challenges right now. We also know that one of the aspects of JCDSRI that makes us strongest is our incredible community of students and families. We want to be together during this time, even if we can’t really be together in person!
We will share JCDSRI: Together (But Apart) emails with fun, easy, low-pressure activities, videos and resources intended to give a moment of joy and connection during your day!
Have fun watching and dancing to these videos from Chris to get us started!
Join us on Friday, March 20 at 9 a.m. for Simchat Tot Live with your little ones. This will be geared to the 0-4 year old crowd but all are welcome! Special guest appearance by Rabbi Michael Fel of Temple Emanu-El. We will sing, dance, hear a story and be together (but apart)!
